Episode #37: How Couples Therapy Can Improve Intimacy, Communication & Connection

In this episode of The Women's Pelvic Health Podcast, I am joined by couples and sex therapist, Ruthie Israeli. Ruthie explains what she does as a relationship therapist and how couples therapy can better a relationship, communication and intimacy. Ruthie also discusses the "desire discrepancy", the different modes of sexual response, how to get your partner to go to therapy with you, how she helps individuals and couples navigate intimacy when a partner is experiencing painful sex, and, most importantly, how to re-gain your love language as a couple when you have lost it. This is one of my favorite episodes so far.

LISTENER QUESTIONS ANSWERED:
1) How do I deal with the guilt of not being able to sexually connect with my husband?
2)Having sex with IBS is hard and doctors don't really care about my sex life. I can't relax at all.

Thank you for listening and I wish all of you health, healing and happiness.
