Episode #11: Meghan Lynch, Yoga Teacher and Doula

In this episode of The Women's Pelvic Pain Podcast, Meghan Lynch, a yoga teacher who works with many pre and post natal women, and, who is also a doula, discusses with us how yoga can be used to help the pelvic floor, to both relax the muscles when need be, and strengthen the muscles when need be. We talk about how yoga can help with those who have chronic pelvic pain, and how it can also help pre and post natal women, in order to both prepare for pregnancy, and heel after pregnancy.

We also talk about the important role that yoga plays in meditation, deep relaxation and stress reduction techniques, in order to combat the cycle of anxiety and depression associated with chronic pain. Lastly, we delve into the chakras, and what our pain can tell us on more energetic levels within our body.

This episode is concluded with an amazing guided breathing exercise that you can carry with you forever and use at any time of day, in order to help calm your brain and nervous system down, ground your body, and consequently, help diminish the pain cycle.
